Description
My People is the third album from Alice Springs hip-hop duo Karnage N Darknis (KND). KND are a hip-hop duo from Alice Springs who have been writing and performing since 2008. Karnage (Tristrum Watkins) is a Western Aranda man from Hermannsburg (130km west of Alice Springs). Darknis (Corinna Hall) is a Ngarrindjera/Kokatha woman from Raukkan, South Australia and Ceduna.
Tristrum and Corinna have been together for over 16 years and have got two children. They write all their songs collaboratively, taking turns to bring a tune and spontaneously adding lyrics to the melodies they create.
Recorded at both CAAMA Studio and Red House Recordings, with producer and beat-maker Darcy Davis and released through the CAAMA Music label.
