North Tanami Band’s most recent release deals with themes relating to life on remote Indigenous communities in Central Australia.

Rooted firmly in the Desert Reggae sound and recorded in CAAMA Music’s Alice Springs studio, all but one song is sung in the band’s native tongue – Walpiri.  With rolling funky bass lines, incessant upbeat guitar lines, thick layers of synths and keyboards and howling lead guitar breaks this is an energized album. Songs deal with issues of alcohol abuse, loneliness, prison and living between two cultures.
