Today we celebrate the new single from Jessica Wishart, That’s What Love Is, with video.

That’s What Love Is, is the second single off the upcoming album Colours to be released through the CAAMA Music label.

The song was a co-write between Nancy Bates and some inspirational women at the Adelaide Women’s Prison. This is their interpretation of what love should feel and look like.

The single is released with video, filmed with respect and care on Arrernte country.

Jessica Wishart is a proud Bidjara woman, singer and songwriter based in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. She is a natural storyteller creatively weaving her experiences as an Aboriginal woman, daughter, mother and educator into music that uplifts, provokes and explores her contemporary experience of walking in two worlds.

Jessica recorded her debut EP My Black Boy in 2017 working with acclaimed songwriter and performer John Baker and featuring additional vocals by Nancy Bates. My Black Boy recorded with The YearlingsChris Parkinson. The new album, Colours was recorded in Adelaide at MixMasters with Kevin Bennett from The Flood in the producer chair.
