Wirringya’s songs reflect their culture, their history and with their latest album ‘DREAMTIME WISDOM , MODERNTIME VISION’ , their future. This is their first CD release.

With fourteen songs on the album many provide an insight into the unique role of Aboriginal bands living on their homelands. These include the ‘History of Schooling in Arnhem Land’ and the ‘Anti Petrol Sniffers Song’

The Wirringya Band present a seamless sound melding modern instruments with various sized Didgeridoos and singing in both English and Djambarrpuyngu.
