The Carols by Candlelight held at Anzac Oval in Alice Springs on Dec 8 will mark the culmination of a year of successful event staging for CAAMA Music. This is a new avenue of business and training for CAAMA, and it has been incredibly well-received so far by the community of Alice Springs.
It provides excellent training opportunities to our Music Industry Rangers, while at the same time providing a useful service to the community.
Because of the remote nature of Central Australia, most event staging equipment has to be transported from elsewhere in Australia, driving the costs up. Having this kind of equipment now situated locally is a great advantage to organisers of all kinds of events – from small community sports carnivals to large events such as the Desert Festival or the Carols by Candlelight.
