Jacinta Price is famous for her soulful voice, which won her “Artist of the Year” at the NAIDOC Awards in 2011, as well as for her appearances on children’s program “Yamba’s Playtime”, aired on Imparja TV. She works to inspire the Central Australian Aboriginal community through her involvement with Desert Divas, a group of indigenous performers, as well as leading music workshops in Alice Springs and surrounding communities. Jacinta Price is also known as Sassy-J when she collaborates with the Alice Springs-based hip-hop group Catch the Fly. Her debut album, DRY RIVER, was produced by Bill Chambers and launched by CAAMA Music on 21 November with a free concert held at the Old Telegraph Station in Alice Springs.
